Adoption Potluck

Adoption is at the heart of the gospel. Scripture reminds us that in Christ we “have received the Spirit of adoption as sons and daughters” (Romans 8:15, ESV). Flowing from this gospel reality, the DSC Adoption Ministry exists to help our church reflect God’s gracious love for the fatherless.

Our focus is on education and connection. We seek to equip the body of Christ with a biblical understanding of adoption and foster care, connect families with trusted resources both within our church and through outside partnerships, and create meaningful community among those walking this path. We also recognize that not everyone is called to adopt or foster—but all of us are called to obedience. In keeping with James 1:27, we provide practical ways for individuals and families to support and care for orphans and children in need, even if adoption or foster care is not part of their current season of life.

Whether adoption is already part of your story, something you’re prayerfully considering, or a burden the Lord is placing on your heart, we invite you to gather with us on Friday, February 27 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM. We’ll share a potluck-style meal and spend time encouraging one another in the joys and challenges that come with adoption, all for the glory of God and the good of his church.
